"The self-destructive society"
This is the third “teaser-image” from the book - i’ll upload more often from now on. The image is part of a larger series, focusing on the modern society’s defects and its self-destructive energy.
I can proudly announce that my first solo-exhibiton opens in 7 days!!
The exhibition will take place in a small gallery and café in central Lugano - Switzerland, named FINGY’S. The 15-photo exhibition’s title is “365” and will, funny enough, be focused on my 365 days project I finished last year. The duration of the exhibition will be 2 months.
It’s been some hectic days, but the catalogs, posters, visit cards and most importantly - the prints are now very close to be ready for the exhibition.
If you are in the surrounding area, I would be trilled if you would take look and maybe drink a cup of coffee will being there!
Best, Marcus Møller Bitsch. 🎉
Lightning caught with iphone
We’re now entering a new year. 2013 has been an exciting year, a hectic year and a year very rich in changes. The year started out as followed, I started my own lil business (marcus mb photography) the 1st January, took the daily photograph for my 365-project and continued my last school year. 2013 was the year I finished my 365-project, the year my time in school came to an end and the year where my life in Aarhus was changed with a life on the other side of the world - pursuing my dream.
I can proudly state, that my life down here is financed by my “hobby”. Yes, I eat loads of oatmeal to make things running, but it is my photography that gives me food on the table. Feels so surreal to say! I travelled to Australia with a friend of mine, Rasmus, the 11th September with a dream of writing a book. 1,5 month later, we decided to split up. The book was therefor now an one-man project, which opened new doors with new challenges and opportunities. The book is now underway and everything is staring to take form. Several chapters/photo series has come to life and the majority of the book has been sketched down on paper. I’m excited, proud and look very much forward to show you the final product! 2014 will be a good year! Happy New Year! … (The photo is from my photo essay I just did for @kinfolk magazine, showing what people do in different countries for good luck New Year’s Eve – in this example, Denmark)
My birthday cake!
